Why receipts

We made the whole category checkable, starting with ourselves.

We scanned this category twice, adversarially, and found that vendor claims routinely could not be verified — even under checking designed to disprove our own conclusion. Receipt MethodTwo-round competitive scan; second round tried to refute the first. FindingNo vendor offered all five of: runs in your environment · you own the graph · facts carry provenance · products operate on top · mid-market pricing. Source/brain/pricing-mechanics#claim-category-scan

So we decided the fix had to be structural, not rhetorical. Anyone can write "trusted" on a page. We built trust into the shape of the thing instead:

It's the one thing a competitor can't copy from a screenshot: you can't fake a receipt discipline you don't have. The click either resolves to something real or it doesn't.

A receipt is how you know the brain is yours: every important fact shows its source, so ownership is checkable, not claimed. Why Mnemma exists →

And we install it on ourselves first. Receipt ClaimMnemma runs on Mnemma, behind our own security gates, before anyone else touches it. StatusStanding practice; this site updates as gates pass. No customer logos or testimonials until they're real. Source/brain/deployment-standard#claim-customer-zero We take ourselves through the exact gated install we'd put you through — first. Our proof isn't logos or usage stats we could invent. It's candor you can check.

Week six of the unreceipted analyst

The market is teaching itself to build memory-agents. Without receipts.

A new genre is spreading: a persistent “analyst” that watches sources, keeps a current view, and wakes the team with a brief. Week one looks magical. Week six is where the pattern fails — not because the model got worse, because the memory was never an owned, checkable asset.

We don’t name the tutorials. The pattern is the point. The differentiator is mechanism, not advice: containers that refuse unclassified data, source rules that rank what may be believed, an adjudicator who is never the builder (builder≠judge), and a graph you own.

Fluency is not evidence. A confident answer without a receipt is unverified — not a fact. Receipt · why this page exists twice PatternPublic how-tos now sell persistent-memory brief agents. The failure modes above are structural: no provenance, no owned graph, no adjudication, corrections that don’t persist. Our mechanismSource hierarchy + default-closed containers + builder≠judge + write-back that must survive the run. Named vendors stay off this site; the pattern is enough. A note from the founder

“In an AI world, small teams with the right tools can outcompete even the largest of enterprises. SMBs are living a modern day David vs Goliath story, and we’re the sling.”
